LOCAL BRYSON NIMMER HEADLINES LAST FOUR SPONSORS EXEMPTIONS ANNOUNCED

Michael Gligic, Ben Martin, Bryson Nimmer, and Adam Svensson have all been awarded sponsors exemptions to compete in the 2022 RBC Heritage Presented by Boeing.

HILTON HEAD ISLAND, SC (Saturday, April 9, 2022) – The Heritage Classic Foundation, a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting educational and charitable initiatives to enhance the quality of life and economic vitality throughout South Carolina, is proud to announce Michael Gligic, Ben Martin, Bryson Nimmer, and Adam Svensson have all been awarded sponsors exemptions to compete in the 2022 RBC Heritage Presented by Boeing. South Carolina’s annual PGA TOUR event will be held April 11-17 over the famed Harbour Town Golf Links on Hilton Head Island, S.C.

They will join a field that includes defending champion Stewart Cink and Team RBC Ambassadors Dustin Johnson and Harold Varner III. Team RBC Ambassadors and past champions Matt Kuchar, Graeme McDowell, Webb Simpson and Brandt Snedeker are also vying for a chance to win another tartan jacket. Other notable commitments include Abraham Ancer, Daniel Berger, Matt Fitzpatrick, Tommy Fleetwood, Collin Morikawa, Cameron Smith, Jordan Spieth and Justin Thomas.

Michael Gligic was born in Burlington, Ontario, Canada and earned his first victory in 2012 at a PGA TOUR Canada event and has earned a win on the Korn Ferry Tour. He will be competing for the third time at Harbour Town Golf Links.

Ben Martin was born in Greenwood, South Carolina and is a Clemson University graduate. He won the 2015 Shriners Hospitals for Children Open and finished T2 at this season’s Corales Puntacana Championship. He now lives in Kiawah Island and has seen success at the RBC Heritage in his past seven starts, finishing T3 in 2014.

Bryson Nimmer was born in Bluffton, South Carolina and led Hilton Head Christian Academy to the state championship in 2013. He followed in his father, Tony’s footsteps and competed for Clemson University until he graduated in 2019. In 2020, he dominated the LOCALiQ Series with two victories and a runner-up finish. His wins earned him an exemption into the 2021 RBC Canadian Open and Puerto Rico Open, where he shot three-under and finished in the top forty. He will be making his second start at the RBC Heritage.

Adam Svensson was born in Surrey, British Columbia, Canada and turned pro in 2015. He has earned three wins on the Korn Ferry Tour including last season’s Club Car Championship in nearby Savannah. He has also carded two top ten finishes this season on the PGA TOUR. This will be his first time competing in the RBC Heritage.
