JUSTIN THOMAS HEADLINES THE LATEST 2023 RBC HERITAGE COMMITMENTS

HILTON HEAD ISLAND, SC (Thursday, March 30, 2023) – At the heart of the Heritage Classic Foundation is a history of philanthropy that expands far beyond golf. The 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization and host to South Carolina’s annual RBC Heritage Presented by Boeing, announced Jason Day, Matt Fitzpatrick, Viktor Hovland, Shane Lowry and Justin Thomas will be competing at the 55th event April 10-16, 2023. They will be joined by defending champion Jordan Spieth, Rory McIlroy, Collin Morikawa, Scottie Scheffler and Team RBC ambassadors Sam Burns, Corey Conners, Sahith Theegala and Cameron Young.

The 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization and host to South Carolina’s annual RBC Heritage Presented by Boeing, announced Jason Day, Matt Fitzpatrick, Viktor Hovland, Shane Lowry and Justin Thomas will be competing at the 55th event April 10-16, 2023. They will be joined by defending champion Jordan Spieth, Rory McIlroy, Collin Morikawa, Scottie Scheffler and Team RBC ambassadors Sam Burns, Corey Conners, Sahith Theegala and Cameron Young.

Jason Day is currently number 33 on the Official World Golf Ranking. The Australian, who now calls Columbus, Ohio home, has 12 career wins on the PGA TOUR. He joined the PGA TOUR in 2008 and has qualified for the FedExCup Playoffs for 15 consecutive years. He will be competing at the RBC Heritage for the seventh time.

Matt Fitzpatrick is currently number 15 on the Official World Golf Ranking. The Englishman earned his first victory on the PGA TOUR last season at the U.S. Open. He has also earned seven international victories. He earned a spot in the 2014 RBC Heritage at just 19 years old by winning the 2013 U.S. Amateur, and was the number one amateur at that time. The now 28-year-old will be making his ninth start at Harbour Town Golf Links this year.

Viktor Hovland is currently number nine on the Official World Golf Ranking. The Norwegian played golf at Oklahoma State and joined the PGA TOUR in 2020. He has earned three wins on the PGA TOUR and has two International victories. He will be making his second start at Harbour Town. His first was in 2020 when the tournament was played without spectators.

Shane Lowry is currently number 23 on the Official World Golf Ranking. The Irishman has won twice on the PGA TOUR. He made history in 2019 when he captured his first major title at The Open Championship in Northern Ireland as the championship was held outside of England and Scotland for the first time since 1951. He has played well at the RBC Heritage, finishing in the top ten in three of his five starts.

Justin Thomas is currently number 11 on the Official World Golf Ranking. Last season, his win at the PGA Championship made him the sixth player since World War II to win 15 titles before turning 30 years old. He is the only player to win in each season from 2015-16 through 2021-22. He will be making his fifth start at the RBC Heritage.

The 55th annual RBC Heritage Presented by Boeing is taking place April 10-16, 2023 over the famed Harbour Town Golf Links on Hilton Head Island.

The RBC Heritage is the only annual PGA TOUR event in South Carolina. Played over the Harbour Town Golf Links on Hilton Head Island since 1969, the event is celebrating its 55th year April 10-16, 2023.
