2021 FedExCup Champion Headlines Latest Commitments

Patrick Cantlay, Takumi Kanaya and Kevin Kisner are competing in the 2022 RBC Heritage Presented by Boeing. South Carolina’s annual PGA TOUR event will be held April 11-17 over the famed Harbour Town Golf Links on Hilton Head Island, S.C.

HILTON HEAD ISLAND, SC (Friday, April 1, 2022) – The Heritage Classic Foundation, a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting educational and charitable initiatives to enhance the quality of life and economic vitality throughout South Carolina, is proud to announce Patrick Cantlay, Takumi Kanaya and Kevin Kisner are competing in the 2022 RBC Heritage Presented by Boeing. South Carolina’s annual PGA TOUR event will be held April 11-17 over the famed Harbour Town Golf Links on Hilton Head Island, S.C.

They will join a field that includes defending champion Stewart Cink and Team RBC Ambassadors Dustin Johnson and Harold Varner III. Team RBC Ambassadors and past champions Matt Kuchar, Graeme McDowell, Webb Simpson and Brandt Snedeker are also vying for a chance to win another tartan jacket. Other notable commitments include Abraham Ancer, Daniel Berger, Matt Fitzpatrick, Tommy Fleetwood, Rickie Fowler, Shane Lowery, Collin Morikawa, Cameron Smith and Justin Thomas.

Cantlay is currently ranked #5 on the Official World Golf Rankings and is one to watch at the RBC Heritage. He finished in the top ten in three of his previous four starts at Harbour Town. The UCLA graduate has carded six wins on the PGA TOUR including four in 2021, earning him the FedExCup title and the Jack Nicklaus Award as PGA TOUR Player of the Year.

Kisner is currently ranked #27 on the Official World Golf Rankings and has finished in the top ten at Harbour Town twice in his previous nine starts. The Aiken, South Carolina native graduated from the University of Georgia and has four victories on the PGA TOUR including last season’s Wyndham Championship, where he won by birdying the second playoff hole in a six-man playoff.

Kanaya is currently ranked #49 on the Official World Golf Rankings. The 23-year-old had a successful amateur career and was ranked #1 on the World Amateur Golf Ranking for 55 weeks. The Japan native turned professional in November 2020 and has carded three wins on the Japan Golf Tour and finished seventh at last season’s ZOZO Championship. He will be making his first start at the RBC Heritage.
