JOIN THE FRIENDS OF THE HERITAGE PROGRAM
The first Heritage golf tournament was hosted at Harbour Town Golf Links in 1969 as part of Charles Fraser’s vision for Sea Pines. It created a platform of celebration and a marketing tool to introduce Hilton Head Island to the world, named the #1 Island in the United States by Travel and Leisure Magazine for the last three years.
Since 1987, the Heritage Classic Foundation has worked to enhance quality of life and economic vitality through preeminent signature events.
The RBC Heritage attracts 135,000 spectators to the region annually. Those spectators come to the island from across the country and beyond to enjoy our southern hospitality while bolstering our economy.
To show your plaid spirit, join this new initiative. Make a minimum donation of $250 to the Heritage Classic Foundation and you will receive:
- A Plaid Flag
- A tax receipt
- Your Name on the RBC Heritage Website
Each year, the RBC Heritage makes a positive impact on South Carolina's economy.
Since 1987, the Heritage Classic Foundation has improved the lives of South Carolinians through its charitable programs.
This is just the beginning of this new initiative but we appreciate the support of the following individuals who have helped the Heritage Classic Foundation get it off the ground:
- Tom Erling
- Nancy Fischer
- Kim & Pamela Gray
- Karen J. Hall (in loving memory of Jim Hall)
- Mark Lutz
- Mark & Judy McNamee
- Judith & Henry Ramsey
