VALERO TEXAS OPEN CHAMPION HEADLINES LATEST COMMITMENTS TO THE 51st RBC HERITAGE

HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C. — Corey Conners, Aaron Baddeley, Daniel Berger, Luke Donald and Harris English have committed to the 51st RBC Heritage Presented by Boeing. South Carolina’s only PGA TOUR event is taking place April 15-21, 2019 on Hilton Head Island.

They will join a field that includes defending champion Satoshi Kodaira and Team RBC Ambassadors Dustin Johnson and Webb Simpson. Team RBC Ambassadors and past champions Jim Furyk, Matt Kuchar, Graeme McDowell and Brandt Snedeker are also vying for a chance to win another Tartan jacket.

Conners, an RBC Ambassador, started last week winning the Valero Texas Open Monday qualifier and ended it by being the champion. He is only the fifth player in PGA TOUR history to win after getting into the field via Monday qualifying. It was the Canadian’s first win on the PGA TOUR. He turned pro at the 2015 RBC Heritage after receiving a sponsors exemption and will be making his third start at Harbour Town this year.

Baddeley’s first win on the PGA TOUR came at the 2006 Heritage. He has won three other times since then and has carded three top ten finishes this season. He was born in New Hampshire but moved to Australia when he was two. He has earned four international victories in Australia and will be making his 15th start at Harbour Town.

Berger tied with Aaron Baddeley for second place at this season’s Puerto Rico Open. His two back to back PGA TOUR wins came at the 2016-2017 FedEx St. Jude Classic. The Florida native hasn’t competed at Harbour Town since his first start as a rookie in 2015.

Donald has a history of playing well at Harbour Town. The Englishman finished the 2017 RBC Heritage one stroke behind champion Wesley Bryan. It was his fifth 2nd place finish in 13 tournaments at Harbour Town. Donald has earned five victories on the PGA TOUR and eight International titles.

English has earned two victories on the PGA TOUR.  After graduating from the University of Georgia in 2011, the Valdosta, Georgia native moved to Sea Island.  He has carded a top ten finishes this season and will be making his seventh start at Harbour Town.
