HILTON HEAD ISLAND, SC – Glen Day, Brian Gay, Brian Harman, Russell Henley and Billy Horschel are the latest professionals to commit to the 49th annual RBC Heritage Presented by Boeing.  South Carolina’s only PGA TOUR event is being held April 10-16, 2017 over the famed Harbour Town Golf Links on Hilton Head Island, S.C.

Previous commitments include past champions Stewart Cink, Jim Furyk, Branden Grace, Matt Kuchar, Graeme McDowell, Brandt Snedeker and Boo Weekley. Fan favorites, including Luke Donald, Jason Dufner, Ernie Els, Ian Poulter and Webb Simpson, are also scheduled to compete for a share of the $6.5 million purse.

Day’s career on the PGA TOUR began in 1994. He defeated Payne Stewart and Jeff Sluman in a play-off to win at Harbour Town in 1999. He will be competing in his 23rd RBC Heritage.

Gay won the 2009 RBC Heritage by a record 10 strokes, topping Davis Love III's seven-stroke win in 1998. His 20-under 264 total broke Loren Roberts' previous tournament scoring record of 19-under in 1996.  He has won five times on the PGA TOUR and will be making his 17th start at Harbour Town.

Harman grew up in nearby Savannah Georgia and received RBC Heritage exemptions in 2004 and 2006. The University of Georgia graduate’s FedExCup ranking is currently 27th thanks to two top-ten finishes this season. He earned his first PGA TOUR victory at the 2014 John Deere Classic and will be making his eighth start at the RBC Heritage.

Henley has earned two PGA TOUR victories since turning pro in 2011 after graduating from University of Georgia. The Macon, Georgia native has carded 2 top ten finishes this season and will be competing in his fifth RBC Heritage.

Horschel has carded three top ten finishes in 2017 and has three PGA TOUR victories.  The Florida native made history in 2014, executing one of the best closing stretches in PGA TOUR history. He won the FedExCup with an exciting rally that included a T2 at the Deutsche Bank Championship and victories at the BMW Championship and the TOUR Championship by Coca-Cola. The University of Florida graduate has never missed the cut in his five previous starts at the RBC Heritage.
