SIX ON THE VALSPAR LEADERBOARD COMMIT TO THE RBC HERITAGE

HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C. — Ryan Armour, Austin Cook, Sungjae Im, Jason Kokrak, Denny McCarthy and Scott Stallings all finished in the top ten at last week’s Valspar Championship. They are the latest PGA TOUR professionals to commit to the 51st BC Heritage Presented by Boeing. South Carolina’s only PGA TOUR event is taking place April 15-21, 2019 on Hilton Head Island over the famed Harbour Town Golf Links.  

They will join a field that includes defending champion Satoshi Kodaira and Team RBC Ambassadors Dustin Johnson and Webb Simpson. Team RBC Ambassadors and past champions Jim Furyk, Matt Kuchar, Graeme McDowell and Brandt Snedeker are also vying for a chance to win another Tartan jacket.  

Armour finished the Valspar Championship tied for sixth place. The Ohio State grad won his first PGA TOUR event at the 2018 Sanderson Farms Championship. He will be making his fourth start at the RBC Heritage.  

Cook finished the Valspar Championship tied for ninth place. The University of Arkansas grad turned pro in 2014 and earned his first PGA TOUR win at the 2018 RSM Classic. He will be competing at Harbour Town for the second time.  

Im finished the Valspar Championship tied for fourth place. It was the South Korean’s fourth time in the top ten this season. It will be the PGA TOUR rookie’s first start at the RBC Heritage.  

Kokrak finished the Valspar Championship tied for second place after acing the 15th hole in the third round. It was his third top ten finish this season. He was born in Ontario, Canada and was a member of the Xavier University’s golf team. He will be competing at Harbour Town for the eighth time.  

McCarthy finished the Valspar Championship tied for ninth place. It was the Maryland native’s second top ten finish this season. He joined the PGA TOUR in 2018 and will be making his first start at the RBC Heritage.  

Stallings finished the Valspar Championship tied for ninth place. It was the Massachusetts native’s second top ten finish this season. He has carded three wins on the PGA TOUR since turning pro in 2007. He will be competing at Harbour Town for the fifth time.
