-General Parking Changes Announced at Media Day-
HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C. — The 49th annual RBC Heritage Presented by Boeing golf tournament is set to take place April 10-16, 2017. Important parking updates for the 2017 tournament were announced at Media Day.
New this year:
- Complimentary general parking will be at Hilton Head Public School Complex, located on the north end of the island at 70 Wilborn Drive, Hilton Head Island, S.C. 29926.
- There will be no parking at Coastal Discovery Museum at Honey Horn due to Hurricane Matthew debris removal
Motor coach service to and from Harbour Town (approximately a 20-minute ride) will be offered continuously during event hours. The motor coaches will begin each day at 6:30 a.m. and stop at 9:30 p.m. The motor coaches will pick up and drop off at the Harbour Town Marina.
Tournament shuttles are still located at Coligny Plaza. Complimentary shuttles will take spectators from the Coligny Beach parking lot to a special drop-off near Harbour Town. Parking in the Coligny Plaza area is first come, first served. Bicycle parking is also available. The shuttles will run from 6:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m.
There is no general spectator parking inside The Sea Pines Resort except for handicapped parking. The handicap lot will be in a different location this year. Handicapped parking passes are issued by Sea Pines security, located at 175 Greenwood Drive in the CSA/Security Administration Building. Passes are issued at the Security Office only and cannot be distributed by mail. Call 843-671-1343 for more information.
Complimentary bicycle parking is available inside Sea Pines at the tennis courts next to the Harbour Town pool parking lot and near the 13th green at 16 Baynard Park Road. Owners are responsible for the security of their own bicycle. Locking bicycles is encouraged. All cyclists must have a tournament ticket or a volunteer badge to be admitted through the gates of Sea Pines. Cyclists may enter Sea Pines at the Ocean Gate or at the Main Gate.
Tournament vehicles will be issued parking passes. Sea Pines residents and Sea Pines vacation renters may park inside Sea Pines. Sea Pines property owners need to contact Sea Pines CSA offices at 843-671-1343 for additional information.
