HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C. — Bryson DeChambeau, Ernie Els, Alex Noren and Vijay Singh are the latest PGA TOUR professionals to commit to the 51st RBC Heritage Presented by Boeing. South Carolina’s only PGA TOUR event is taking place April 15-21, 2019 on Hilton Head Island over the famed Harbour Town Golf Links.

They will join a field that includes defending champion Satoshi Kodaira and Team RBC Ambassadors Dustin Johnson and Webb Simpson. Team RBC Ambassadors and past champions Jim Furyk, Matt Kuchar, Graeme McDowell and Brandt Snedeker are also vying for a chance to win another Tartan jacket.

DeChambeau is currently ranked sixth on the Official World Golf Rankings. He carded his fifth PGA TOUR victory at the 2019 Shriners Hospitals for Children Open. His first PGA TOUR event was at the 2016 RBC Heritage, where he finished T4 and in 2018 he finished T3. His nickname is the “Mad Scientist of Golf” because he takes a scientific approach to the game.  All his irons and wedges are the same length, allowing him to perfect a more simplified swing.  The California native is also known for his signature Ben Hogan style cap.  It is a style that past two-time RBC Heritage champion Payne Stewart was known for wearing on the PGA TOUR.

Els is one of the most successful golfers in the history of the game, having won 72 tournaments since turning professional in 1989, including the 2002 and 2012 British Open Championship and the 1994 and 1997 U.S. Open Championship.  He has captured two World Golf Championships and a record seven World Matchplay titles. The South African native was recently named the International team captain for the 2019 Presidents Cup. He has competed at Harbour Town 18 times and has carded seven top ten finishes.

Noren is currently ranked 28th on the Official World Golf Rankings. Born in Sweden, he played golf at Oklahoma State University. He has earned 11 international victories and was a member of the 2018 Ryder Cup team. He joined the PGA TOUR last season and is making his first start at the RBC Heritage.

Singh was on the PGA TOUR leaderboard earlier this season when he finished the Honda Classic in sixth place. He has earned 34 wins on the PGA TOUR and 22 International victories since turning pro in 1982.  Fiji’s only PGA TOUR golfer also has 4 wins on the Champions Tour. He is making his 15th start at Harbour Town.
